France, best place to live

According to the magazine "International Living", the best place to live in the world is France (followed by Australia and Switzerland):

According to the same magazine, the best place in the world to retire is Ecuador (specifically, the city of Cuenca, Ecuador).

My own adjusted ranking, that gives more weight to security, climate and culture, gives the following top 12 places to retire (all of them with security and stability = 100).

Malta Uruguay Australia Argentina Italy France Spain U.S. Portugal Chile Croatia New Zealand

France appears highly-rated in 6th place both in the magazine's ranking as well as in my adjustment.
